1. What DealerPad Is
DealerPad is the Android tablet at the dealer's position. It is a read-only display + control panel for the Gamevue computer-vision system. It does not run any of the game logic itself; it talks to two Gamevue devices ("Gamevue A" and "Gamevue B") mounted at the table.
Because DealerPad is driven by a computer-vision system, the cards and chips must be placed within the normal play areas as defined by the standard game procedure so the cameras can see them. Anything placed outside these areas may not be recognized.
Roles of the device:
1. Display the live game state (hands, main bet, side bets) that the Gamevue devices compute.
2. Reset the current round when the dealer needs to (e.g. misdeal).
3. Identify the dealer currently on the table (sign-in / sign-out by employee ID) (Optional).
4. Track player seating sessions — record who sits where, their buy‑in, and how each seat performed (Player Stats).
5. Set table bet limits (Min/Max per bet).
6. Health check, calibrate + remote reboot of the two Gamevue devices, without requiring physical access.
2. Day-to-Day Layout
The app is a 2-page swipe dashboard. Two dots at the bottom indicate the current page. A small sun/moon button at the bottom-right toggles light/dark theme — purely cosmetic.
How to swipe: swipe horizontally with one finger across the screen to switch between Page 1 (Game Play) and Page 2 (Settings).
Page 1 — Game Play (live)
The main area shows the live game from the Gamevue devices. The exact widgets depend on game type:
-
Blackjack: dealer's hand, player's hand, main bet, side bets
, and current phase.
Outcome display per seat:- Main bet — a result label (WIN / LOSE / PUSH / BUST / BJ 🎉) is shown above the hand, with the net amount below: the win amount in green on a win, the lost amount in red on a loss, PUSH on a push, or a dash while pending.
- Side bets — shown as small pills next to the hand: a win turns the bet green and shows the payout; a loss is marked with ❌ next to the bet; pending shows the bet amount only.
-
Ultimate Texas Hold'em: up to 6 player seats, each showing hole cards and the Ante
/ Blind
/ Play
bets plus the Trips
side bet, along with the community cards and the dealer's final hand.
Outcome display per bet (Ante, Blind, Play, and Trips all use the same style): the top row is the bet amount; the bottom row is the result — the win amount in green on a win, the lost amount in red on a loss, PUSH on a push, or a dash while pending.
A red flashing alert bar at the top appears when the system flags an issue (e.g. unexpected bet, missing card).
Reset Round button (bottom-left): clears the current round. Used by the dealer in case of a misdeal or stuck state. This sends a control command to the Gamevue device.
Page 2 — Settings
Tab bar at the top with four tabs, in order: System, Dealer Setting, Player Stats, Min/Max. The current table name and game type are shown in the top‑right for reference.
Tab: System (IT-facing)
-
Health Check button — pings both Gamevue devices in parallel. Returns one of:
- Gamevue A: Online • Gamevue B: Online (green) — everything reachable.
- Either side Offline (red) — that Gamevue device is unreachable from the DealerPad. - Reboot System button — opens a confirmation dialog ("This will reboot both Gamevue devices. Are you sure?"). Confirming sends an authenticated reboot command to both Gamevue devices. Use this when the system is stuck and a power cycle is the fastest fix.
-
Calibrate button — opens a dialog to (re)calibrate the Gamevue cameras. Tick Gamevue A and/or
Gamevue B, then tap Start to begin; the dialog shows a "Calibrating…" progress state. Tap Set to apply/finish, or Cancel to stop. Use this when the camera alignment has drifted and cards/chips are being misread.
Tab: Dealer Setting
- Search Dealers — type a name or employee ID; matching dealers appear in a list. Tap one to select it.
- Current Selection — shows the chosen dealer (name + employee ID). The ✕ clears the selection.
- Save Dealer and Start Shift — reports the selected dealer back to the Gamevue device. Used for shift handover.
- Create New Dealer — if a dealer isn't in the directory yet, tap this in the search list to open a form (First name, Last name, Employee ID) and add them.
Tab: Player Stats
The Player Stats tab tracks seating sessions: which player sat at which seat, their buy‑in, how long they played, and how that seat performed (from Gamevue's per‑hand data). It can run manually (the supervisor starts/ends each session) or automatically (sessions open/close based on detected play).
Table view
- Seats are drawn around a half‑circle table (Seat 1 on the left → Seat N on the right; the dealer is at the straight bottom edge). The number of seats follows the table's game type.
- Each seat is a colored circle:
- Blue "Not Started" — no active session at that seat.
- Green — a session is in progress; the circle shows the buy‑in and a live duration timer. - Tap any seat to open its session panel (hint on screen: "Tap to start/end/check a seating session").
- Two buttons sit at the top‑left:
- Seating Session Search — look up past stats for any seat over a time window.
- Auto Tracking Setting — turn automatic tracking on/off and set the timeout.
Seat panel (tap a seat)
The panel has two cards side by side — the live/new session on the left, the previous session's stats on the right.
Left card — New Player / Current Seating Session:
- Status line — Not Started, or Ongoing: (with • Auto if it was auto‑started) and the start time.
- Player Member ID (optional) and Buy‑In Amount ($) (optional) input fields.
- Copy to → Select seat — copies the entered Member ID + Buy‑In to another seat that doesn't already have an ongoing session (handy when one player buys in for multiple seats).
- Modify Input / Confirm Modification — while a session is ongoing the inputs are locked; tap Modify Input to edit the Member ID / Buy‑In mid‑session, then Confirm Modification to save the change.
- Action buttons:
- Start — begins a session with the entered details (enabled when no session is running).
- End and Save — ends the session and saves it to the backend.
- Clear and Discard — clears the inputs / drops the session without saving.
- Merge into Last Session — see below (enabled only when there's both an ongoing session and a previous one).
Right card — Last Seating Session:
- Backend stats for the previous session: Average Bet (main) (shown only for games that have a main bet), Hands Played, Hands Present, Total Win/Loss (green for a win, red for a loss), and a per‑bet breakdown (each bet's average / win‑loss).
- Plus the captured Duration, Player Member ID, Buy‑In Amount ($), Start Time, and End Time (• Auto if it was auto‑ended).
- Tap Close to dismiss the panel.
Merge into Last Session
If a player's session was split (e.g. a brief absence created a second session), Merge folds the current ongoing session into the previous one: the start time is rewound to the previous session's start.
- The dialog shows Last Session and Current Session side by side for comparison.
- If the two have different Member IDs, you pick which one to keep.
- Merged Buy‑In Amount ($) defaults to last + current and can be edited before confirming.
- Merge applies the change; Cancel backs out.
Seating Session Search
Opens a dialog to query stats for a single seat over any time range.
- Left — Search Criteria: pick the Seat, a Start date/time, and an End date/time. The End = Present toggle pins the end to "now" and greys out the End picker.
- Right — Results: Seat, time Window, Duration, Hands Present, Hands Played, Average Bet (main) (when applicable), Total Win/Loss, and the per‑bet breakdown.
- Search runs the query; Close dismisses the dialog.
Auto Tracking Setting
- Auto Tracking switch — when on, a session opens automatically as soon as a new player is detected at a seat with at least one bet, and ends automatically once that seat has been empty for the timeout below (the end time is recorded as the moment the seat went empty). Default: on.
- Empty‑seat timeout (minutes) — how long a seat must stay empty before its session auto‑ends (1–60 minutes; default 5).
- Save applies the settings; Cancel backs out. Turning Auto Tracking off only stops new automatic actions — it never reverts sessions that were already auto‑started.
Tab: Min/Max
Sets the minimum and maximum bet for each bet type on the table. The bets listed depend on the table's game type (main bets, side bets, and any progressives).
- Each bet has its own card with a Min Bet and Max Bet field (each prefixed with a
$). - Save Limits sends the limits to the Gamevue device. It is only enabled when every bet has a valid Min and Max and each Min is ≤ its Max.
- A confirmation message appears below the button on success, or an error message if the save failed.
3. Frequently Asked Questions
1. DealerPad is frozen / unresponsive
- Long-press the power button to reboot the DealerPad. This does not affect Gamevue state — the live game continues running on the Gamevue devices and will reappear once the DealerPad is back up.
2. DealerPad shows nothing / stale data
- Swipe to Settings → System and tap Health Check.
- Both Online → the Gamevue devices are up; the issue is likely the data stream. Try Reset Round on Page 1; if still stuck, do Reboot System.
- One or both Offline → check Gamevue power / network cable. The reboot button will not help if the device is unreachable.
3. Health Check shows one Gamevue Online and one Offline
- Some functionality may still work. You can try Reboot System to recover the offline unit. If the problem persists, submit a ticket to Gamevue support (see Section 4).
4. Frequent red alert bar at the top of the game screen
- Reset Round if the alert is stuck across multiple deals.
5. Cards or chips appear missing or incorrect on screen
- First confirm that the cards and chips are placed within the normal play areas so the cameras can see them. If the issue persists, take a photo of the entire table state / layout (cards, chip stacks, bet positions) and submit a ticket to Gamevue support.
6. A dealer cannot be found in Dealer Setting
- Use "Create New" in the Dealer Setting tab to register the dealer.
7. DealerPad screen glitches / touch is unresponsive
- This is an Android device hardware issue. Submit a ticket to Gamevue support.
4. Contact
For anything that is not resolved by Health Check + Reboot System (e.g. wrong cards, missing players, persistent alerts), submit a ticket to Gamevue support with: client name, table name, game type, time, and the alert text shown on screen.
